War of 1812

Those who served in the War of 1812 that we know of are R. Edgell, R. Shinn and J. Reynolds.

Also from Captain Asa Pease Jr.

Sometime between 1807 and 1811 Asa Pease, Jr., a cooper by occupation, moved his family to Ohio where ship building, of small vessels of the 104 tons class, had become important. He probably lived in Newport, near Marietta.

If was from Newport, Ohio that Asa Pease, Jr. enlisted June 18, 1813 for the War of 1812. He was wounded July 25, 1814 at Bridgewater in the Battle of Lundy's Lane, and killed August 25, 1814, at Black Rock on land near Buffalo, in ground fighting at the same time the naval forces fought and won the victory with Perry.
