Ferguson

 Newport Jan 12 – Mr. Thomas Ferguson, who died in Cleveland on Sunday, Jan 10th, was buried in Newport on Tuesday afternoon. He was born and raised here, lived here until about four years ago, when he and his wife removed to Cleveland. He leaves a wife and four children. On Nov. 2, 1908, Mr. and Mrs. Ferguson celebrated their golden wedding.

 Former Resident is Dead – 1932

 Theodore E Ferguson, former resident of the Newport community died at this home at Los Angles, Calif., on September 26, according to word received in Marietta. Death followed an extended illness. Cremation took place at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, Calif.

 Mr. Ferguson was the oldest son of Thomas and Margaret Ferguson of Newport and left here in the early 1880’s for Missouri where he lived 45 years. He went to California about five years ago. His wife died in 1913, while spending the winter in California. Surviving are five of their seven sons and daughters. Of his immediate family two brothers and a sister survive. They are Harry L Ferguson, Ernest M Ferguson and Miss Nora Ferguson all of Los Angles and vicinity

DALE E. 'Junior' Fletcher Jr.June 1, 2012

Dale E. "Junior" Fletcher Jr., 58, of Marietta, passed away Wednesday (May 30, 2012) at his residence. He was born Sept. 20, 1953, in Marietta to the late Dale Eugene Sr. and Virginia Eddy Fletcher.
Junior graduated from Frontier High School in 1974 and retired from O.D.O.T. He is survived by his wife Debra whom he married Sept. 30, 1978, in Marietta. Also surviving are his two sons: Dustin of Columbus and Anthony of Marietta; siblings, Brenda (Ron) Padgitt, Gary (Sue) Thomas, both of Marietta, Todd (Karen), Michael and Larhonda Fletcher, all of Pennsylvania; step-mother, Ruiann Fletcher of Pennsylvania; and step-father, Richard Waters of Marietta.
Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m., Monday (June 4, 2012) at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike Street. Burial will follow in Newport Cemetery
