CHARLES BERNARD GALE 24 Jan 1883 in Washington Co., OH, son of GEORGE GALE and CATHERINE WELLS.  He was born 07 Feb 1858 in Newport Township,  Washington Co., Ohio, and died 18 Dec 1892 in Newport; Burial, Newport Cemetery.

 

Notes for DR. CHARLES BERNARD GALE:

He was a Physician and Surgeon, a member of the firm of the Gale Brothers, Inc., in Newport. He was educated in Newport, and began the study of medicine at the age of 22, under the tutelage of his brother, George T., who was the senior member of the firm. He was a graduate at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Baltimore,  in the class of 1881. He formed a partnership with this brother at Newport, and entered at once upon the practice. He was actively engaged ever since, and was recognized as one of the rising young physicians on the county. He was a member of the Washington County and Ohio State Medical Associations. He served as corner of the county for one year, and township treasurer for tow years. He was president of the Newport Mill Company and was favorably known as a good business man.
