Newport – Rev. J. W. Hamilton, of Boston, will visit his former congregation at this place, on the 17th and the 18th of July.

The Weather, for the past week, has been very favorable for the crops. The wheat harvest, we believe, is nearly over, and has been well secured. Corn look magnificently, and promises well. On Wednesday afternoon we had a fine and refreshing rain. The Ohio river rose between four and five feet during the week, and there is water enough for any boat.
