News of Newport, Oracle, May 9, 1946, St. Marys, W. Va.

 

The Junior Class play will be presented at eh High School Auditorium on May 14 at 8:00 p. m. The cast is as follows: Edwin Pryor, Arlene Thomas, Elizabeth Dye, William Bedilion, Violet Skinner, Alfred McGee, Grace Williamson, Jimmy Greenwood and Lucille Hoff.

Mrs. Carl Haischer returned home Sunday from the St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg.

Mrs. James Wolfe returned to her home Tuesday from the Memorial Hospital in Marietta.

Miss Gladys Greene of St. Marys called on Miss Alice Kesselring Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Gale and children left Monday for Norfolk, Va. to visit Mrs. Gale’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Yeater.

Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Yonally spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Homer Yonally at Bloomfield.

Mrs. Clifford Duffy and son, Michael, and niece, Ruth Ann Buttermore, spent the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lauck and daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lauer spent the week end at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lauer and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Workmaster.

Fred Kerr and son, Norman are attending a Herford cattle sale at Spencer, W. Va.

Mrs. Nora Bayless, Miss Gladys Knopp and Edith Knopp were shopping in Marietta, Saturday.

Rose Marie Lauck was able to return to school Monday after being confined to her home with the mumps.

Mrs. Clifford Duffy and son and Mrs. Harry Lauck were shopping in Marietta, Saturday.
